One shattered window. Two bruised hearts. And twelve days until Christmas.
Tessa Doyle’s semester in Europe left her a much wiser woman. But then she takes a job referral from her ex-boyfriend, and agrees to repair the stained-glass window, the last work she will need for her MFA. With a two-week deadline, she will have no time for anything else, especially men.
Sean Cavanagh’s Christmas season has lost all its cheer. Nothing has gone according to his plans for Christmas since the drone broke the window. Now organ pipes are missing, and a blizzard is threatening to cancel what could be Granda’s last sermon.
With a little magic and a lot of snow, Tessa and Sean work together to repair not just a window, but also their hearts.
August 2018 Extended Ending: Granda's house hid more than boxes of papers could they be worth a million or more?
Q&A With the Author:
1. What inspired this Christmas/Winter book
I was brainstorming with another author on Halloween and we decided to see if we could write a Christmas book in time for Christmas and I did it.
2. Do you have other Holiday books? If so, what are they are for which Holidays? If not, what other books do you write?
I have written other books with holidays in them, but they were not holiday books. Waking Lucy and Reforming Elizabeth both have Christmas 1797 in them. Healing Sarah has Independence Day 1816. The other books in Artists & Billionaires series, as well as my other contemporaries mention some holidays in them but not as a major theme.
3. What is your largest unfulfilled dream, and what are you doing to reach it?
I want to be a kinder person. I try every day to be closer to God and to learn from others.
4. Tell us about things you enjoy — what you do for fun or personal satisfaction besides writing?
I love to read, of course, and enjoy graphic design, and listening to my children talk.
5. Are your characters/stories/scenes, etc. based on anything in real life?
I think parts of my books are based on my experiences. Had I not had the opportunity to work for Holdman Studios, I don't think I would have ever tried to write a book incorporating stained glass.
6. Tell us one Christmas or Winter tradition that you love to do every year, and why it is so special to you.
When my kids were little, four under four years, I realized the ones that would sit down for Christmas dinner didn't like turkey. So we ordered pizza for Christmas eve and had it delivered. Something we never did. The next year my oldest asked when the pizza would come...we have had Pizza delivery the last 18 Christmas
