Kate has gone to visit Clyde, a Demon she feels she can trust, for information about the Demon Lord, without the knowledge of her Guardians.
Clyde watched my face for several long seconds, then he instinctively reached out and patted my arm. “The Demon Lord has a most wanted list—his prioritized enemies. It just usually involves Demons who’ve offended him. So far as I know, a Seer’s never quite made the cut. Demons squabble over ’em, hoping for the reward, and the Demon Lord sends Far Darrig after some—but that’s the end of the story. I think you’re the first Seer, Kate.”
I blinked up at him. “That’s supposed to make me feel better?”
“Philippe had to pass the word along,” Clyde continued quickly, sounding apologetic. “If he didn’t, he would be risking his life. But Selena gave him pictures of you and everything. I have one, if you’d like it.”
Feeling a little disconnected, I nodded.
He pulled his hand out of his pocket and handed me a folded sheet of paper. I took it from him, slowly uncurling the edges until I held a full-size page, half of it taken up with a picture of me. It was my senior picture from school. I didn’t even want to think about how they’d gotten this. The smile on the picture was small, and the words beneath seemed surreal.
Kate Bennett, Seer. Wanted alive. Believed to be under heavy Guardian protection. Two positively identified Guardians are Patrick O’Donnell and Antonio Alverez. Both are extremely dangerous. A reward of—I choked—one million US dollars will go to those who manage to secure her. Seer may or may not be in hiding.
My home address was included on the bottom as a starting point for anyone interested in getting the reward, along with Selena’s number, in case there were any questions.
Clyde’s voice seemed really distant. “You haven’t seen any of these bounty hunters yet is because they’re being cautious. They want that money. Badly, I would imagine. The Demon Lord doesn’t usually offer quite so much. “This isn’t the Demon Lord’s style,” I argued weakly, still staring at the monetary amount I was worth. I guess I could have felt honored or something In reality, I only felt sick.
“If you want my honest opinion, Kate, I think you should leave here—the sooner the better. Maybe even leave the country.”
“What? I can’t leave. They have my address!”
“That’s exactly why you need to leave—try to cover up your tracks.” Clyde shrugged helplessly. “I don’t know what to tell you. But you can’t stay here, Kate. For that amount of money . . . Every Demon in the state is going to be trying his best to get at you. The Guardians can’t protect you from that kind of attack. Your enemies are too many.”
“But what can I do? My friends, my family . . . They’re all in danger. Even if I leave, I can’t bring everyone I love with me.”
Clyde’s face was calmly serious. “They’re not going to rest until they have you, Kate. That’s the Demon Lord’s style.”


My Review: 
I have loved the Seers trilogy so far. It has been one surprise after another. The 2nd book in the series left you hanging, screaming, and dying to know what happens in the 3rd book. Guardians takes up right where Demons left off. Kate has the whole Demon world after her per request of The Demon Lord and a hefty ransom. Patrick is trying his best to guard the woman he loves. I loved how the characters are fleshed out even more in this last book. Heather is very good at characterization. She really knows how to write memorable characters. You can't help but be drawn into the lives of the Seers and Guardians that Heather writes.

The action is good again in this novel. The first part of the book moves a little slower as the book goes into what happened previously. Things pick up half way through and doesn't stop. Once Kate starts teaching the other Seers about time travel the story speeds along. Of course I loved this aspect the most about this book. It was also fun to meet all of the new Seers introduced in the third book.

I have to say that I really loved how this series ended. There were SO many surprises! I truly could not have guessed on the outcome. I also loved the epilogue. Some epilogues are better than others, and this one ranks right up there with my favorites. I will miss this series and the characters. I can't wait to see what else Heather Frost writes. She is an amazing writer that knows how to produce a great story. If you haven't read this series yet I highly recommend that you do.

My Review:
I really liked Seers, but Demons blew me away! The level of angst in this book is at a mind blowing +10! There are many surprises in this book. I enjoyed seeing how Kate's confidence grew as her role as a Seer. The relationship between Kate and Patrick is pure and heartfelt. I loved seeing the interaction between these two characters. I grew to love Kate's Grandparents even more. The Demons are just as bad and  more creepy than they were in the first book.

Heather's writing has been upped to a higher level in this second book. The story moves quickly and there was never a dull moment. This is why I chose this series for this giveaway. I WAS stuck in this book and could not put it down. I was almost late for an appointment because I had to finish this book. Then the epilogue shook me up so much, I sat there stunned for about five minutes not moving! It has been a long time that a book's ending has shocked me this much. This is why I am giving this book a 5 star rating!

1.How have you seen your writing grow from your first book Seers, to this second book Demons?

                  

 I feel like Demons does a much better job in the suspense area. I feel like the action scenes are stronger, and there’s more of an adrenaline rush as a result. The story feels more intense, and the characters are risking a lot more in the story.

2.Can readers start reading Demons if they haven't read Seers? Or would you suggest they read Seers first?

                 

 I would certainly suggest reading Seers first, although I’ve had several readers tell me that the summary in Demons was sufficient, and they weren’t too lost. However, if you want more background on the world of Guardians, Demons, and Seers—not to mention a better connection with the characters—I would recommend starting with Seers.

3.After you finish the trilogy, what will you write next? Do you already have something in the works?

                 

 I have a few projects in the works, which is part of the problem actually. I need to get focusing on a specific one! But I’m focusing mostly on young adult fantasy, and adult romance. We’ll see what I finally get settled on.  Until then, I’m working on finishing up school, and the Seers Trilogy.

4.What is the main message you hope readers get from reading the Seers Trilogy?

                 

 I certainly think a big theme of the trilogy is discovering that—despite tragedy and hardships—you can still find happiness. What I definitely want readers to get from the books, though, is a good story; new friends, new ways to think about the world, and a fun break from reality.

5.What has been the best part about having your books published?

Seeing my name on the cover is pretty much the most amazing thing, but I love that I can share these stories, these characters. They become so real to me, and I just love being able to share them with other book-lovers.

My Review of "Seers" by Heather Frost

When Kate Bennett survived the car accident that claimed her parents' lives, she knew her world would be forever changed. But her life is more dramatically altered than she first realized. Not only is she able to see “mood auras” on the people around her, she's even started seeing invisible people with no colors at all. And no matter how attractive the new addition to her American Lit class is, Kate sees what no one else can—the dangerous truths this mysterious man threatens to pour into her life.

Patrick O'Donnell was killed in the Irish Revolution in 1798. He's here now to try and keep Kate alive, and stop her life from spinning out of control. The one thing he's not going to do is fall in love with her. But plans change, especially when Demons are involved . . .

Kate is about to enter the world of Seers; where immortals are at war with each other, and unfortunate mortals like Kate are in over their heads. 

I really enjoyed reading Seers. I have not read many paranormal books with angels and demons. In this book there are demons, but the "good" guys are called Guardians.  The main character, Kate, is what is known as a Seer. A Seer can see the auras of all people, including the demons and guardians. This is why both groups of immortals are seeking her out.

Kate and her friends are still in high school. Even though the background is set in a high school, there are many strange things happening that change Kate's world quickly.There is a typical love triangle found in most YA books, but this one I liked better than most. The main focus in the story in not the love triangle, but is on Kate learning about how and why she is special. The beginning starts slowly, but once it picks up and Kate learns all about Guardians and Demons, there is a lot of action.

I like Kate's Guardian Patrick. Though he is very handsome and strong, he is a really nice guy.You can't help but really like him. Kate's boyfriend is also a nice guy, so I didn't favor one over the other until about the middle of the story.In fact, you feel very sad for Aaron by the end. Patrick is well written along with all of the other characters. One of my absolutely favorite characters would have to be Kate's Grandfather, Henry. He has wit, charm, love and a lot of understanding for his oldest granddaughter. There is a super secret about him that we discover later on in the story. I really like this twist and I hope that we see more of Grandfather Henry in the next book.Kate's best friend, Lee, is also a fun addition to the story. She and Kate are polar opposites, but the friendship works very well.

One thing that I should warn some readers about, most of the book is told in Kate's POV(point of view).  In the middle we suddenly have a chapter or two that switches to Patrick's POV. I had to stop and think for a minute about what was happening. I think the book would have been fine without the switch. I just know that many readers out there don't like sudden POV shifts and I wanted to prepare you. This did not ruin the story, but it just threw me for a loop.

Seers is a well written first book. Heather has a great way of writing interesting characters and has a fresh new take on Demons and Angels/Guardians. Teens will love this book and any fan of the YA Paranormal genre. Seers leaves things open for a sequel which I will happily read.

About the author

I was born in Sandy, Utah, a few days before Halloween in 1989. I lived in Salt Lake City until I was about six, and then I moved North and settled into the place I still call home. I'm the second child of ten, and I absolutely love being the big sister.
I can't remember a time when I didn't enjoy reading, and I did a lot of it. I also dabbled in writing when I was young, though nothing serious until I entered the teenage years. Becoming an author is a dream come true!
I attended Snow College, and there got the best job ever as a writing tutor. I graduated in May 2011 with my Associate of Science, and am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science as an English Major.
I love movies, music, and books—although I do think that the dumbest question on the planet is the whole “What's your favorite book/music/movie?” The best answer I've come up with is, “Whatever I'm reading, listening to, or watching at the time.” Generally, it's an accurate answer.
I love the smell of lilacs, wet cement, and freshly cut grass. I love brownies, rain, and curling up with a good book.
