My Review
Snowbound Regency Christmas features three stories that showcase couples and how they unexpectedly find love in surprising ways.
In A Christmas Houseguest by Carla Kelly, there is a story of a snowbound young soldier with PTSD. He ends up at the home of a caring family who show him great kindness, and there he meets the beautiful Rose. This novella was a very touching story.
In Their Yuletide Reunion by Joanna Johnson, we find a story of second chances. Jane and Duncan both have things to work through before love comes again. There is a theme of accepting one another despite their flaws. This was a sweet story.
In The Christmas Husband Charade by Samantha Hastings, it is an enemies-to-lovers novella. There is also a lot of humor in the witty banter that takes place between Devon and Julia. The forced proximity theme also plays a large hand where they both are stranded in an inn during a fierce snowstorm. With a stormy past, they soon learn that there is more to the person than they previously thought they knew.
Snowbound Regency Christmas is a sweet collection of non-typical, clean love stories. These fast reads are ones to pick up and read at the end of a cold winter's day.
****Meet the Authors****
Carla Kelly
I started writing Regencies because of interest in the Napoleonic Wars. I like writing about warfare at sea and ordinary people of the British Isles, rather than lords and ladies. In my spare time I like to read British crime fiction and history, particularly the U.S. Indian Wars. I currently live in Utah. I'm a former park ranger, and double Rita Award and Spur Award winner. I have five interesting children and four grands. Favorite authors include Robert Crais and Richard Woodman.
Joanna Johnson
Joanna Johnson lives in a little village with her husband and too many books. After completing an English degree at university she went on to work in publishing, although she'd always wish she was working on her own books rather than other people's. This dream came true in 2018 when she signed her first contract with Harlequin and she hasn't looked back, spending her time getting lost in mainly Regency history and wishing it was acceptable to write a manuscript using a quill.
Samantha Hastings
Samantha Hastings met her husband in a turkey sandwich line. They live in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she spends most of her time reading, having tea parties, and chasing her kids. She has degrees from Brigham Young University, University of North Texas, and University of Reading (UK). She’s the author of several YA Regency titles and also writes cozy murder mysteries under Samantha Larsen. Learn more at SamanthaHastings.com
