My Review
Book two of the Roxberry Heirs series, Flat Deception, by Paige Edwards, delivers another outstanding Romantic Suspense novel that readers will be hooked on from beginning to end.
The story follows Lady Sophie Henderson, the daughter of a marquess, who is a devoted horse enthusiast and faces setbacks in pursuing her dream of establishing a breeding stable due to her father's financial troubles.
Zander Matthews,(one of my favorite characters in the novel) is a long-time admirer who comes to help Sophie with his own resources. A partnership is formed while others want this new endeavor to fail and will take any measures to bring it to an end.
Readers are transported to the grandeur of Ascot, offering a glimpse into the world of nobility and horse racing, and showing both the glamour and the darker side, such as horse doping.
The book maintains a non-stop level of suspense and energy throughout, even in its quieter moments. The love story is portrayed as a tender and genuine romance between Sophie and Zander. Edwards' is such a skillful storyteller and keeps readers engrossed from start to finish. Flat Deception is a must-add to your summer reading list.
