Hearts collide when a sheriff’s daughter asks a hardened US Marshal to join her fight for justice and rid a small town of her corrupt father.
Wyoming Territory, 1876
US Marshal John “Hawk” Hawking is one of the most respected lawmen in the West, so when a telegram arrives from the small town of Sand Creek warning him of a death threat against him, he immediately begins an investigation.
Posing as a farmer, Hawk heads to Sand Creek, a town ruled by a violent and corrupt sheriff. Only one person is trying to stop him—Liesl, the sheriff’s own daughter. When she meets the self-assured and attractive new farmer, John, she hopes he might help her in the fight for justice.
John is completely unfazed by Sheriff Hodges’s attempts at intimidation, and Liesl is quickly swept up by Hawk’s courage and integrity. Just as quickly, Hawk finds himself falling for Liesl’s strength and bravery, as well as her grace and beauty.
When Liesl discovers John’s true identity, she feels betrayed. Despite her lingering distrust of him, Liesl agrees to work with him to enact a dangerous plan that will put the criminals away forever. Liesl must put her life, and her heart, in the hands of his lawman if she has any hope of saving her family and her town.

My Review
The Savage Wells books have been a favorite of mine from the start. Author Sarah Eden has written so many diverse characters and settings through the years in Regency, Georgian, and Victorian eras. This Western Proper Romance series always delivers just like her other books.
I loved reading Wyoming Wild because I did get to go back to the frontier town of Savage Wells. All of the characters readers have grown to love in the first two books are also in this third book. I was totally thrilled that finally US Marshal John “Hawk” Hawking was getting his own novel and someone to love. I really loved the new character, Liesl Hodges who in every way was Hawking's match. As he goes undercover with his deputy, he never would have imagined finding a woman with so much strength and fire. Liesl has stood up to her corrupt Sherriff father and his cohorts for years. She never imagined that someone like John Hawking would come into her life and accept and love her.
This book has a great plot, a huge supply of bad guys, and enough angst to keep you reading past your bedtime. Of course, there is romance but it doesn't all happen like you think it will. I liked the many twists that kept the book exciting. If you've never read this Western Proper Romance series before, I honestly would start at Book one. You will be glad of this tidbit of advice. You could read Wyoming Wild as a stand-alone but truly give yourself the full experience of the heroic people, amped-up drama, and the clean, sweet romance that can be found in the western town of Savage Wells.
