Book Summary
Cassidy Edgemont has been dead for four years. At least, that is what the world has been led to believe. My Review
What book kept me up until 3:00 a.m. one night? Oh yes, Not Dead Yet by Author Traci Hunter Abramson! This clean romantic, mystery suspense will grasp you in its action-driven clutches and you'll be lost until the last page.
The Guardian Series is about an undercover, invisible government group. When you become a guardian you are dead to the rest of the world and now are known only as, "Ghost".Cas is a Guardian in Paris. One day her past comes back to hook her back into her former life. The Coalition, a group of bad guys uses fake news to cause political unrest wherever they strike. This Coalition was responsible for Cas's car accident and "death". Add in Cas's family winding up in Paris thinking she may be alive, people wanting her dead for real, and a fellow Guardian named Donovan steps in to help keep her alive. These two worked well together and the attraction was mutual from the start. The mix of budding romance, ongoing conflicts, and a whole lot of cooking and baking thrown in {Where are the recipes?} makes this novel one of the best Guardian Novels to date.
If you haven't read this series yet, I strongly recommend that you do. Every book Traci writes becomes one of my favorites. She knows how to write creative plots, intriguing and engaging characters, and conflict that keeps you up until 3:00 in the morning.
***Meet Author Traci Hunter Abramson***
Traci Hunter Abramson was born in
Arizona, where she lived until moving to Venezuela for a study-abroad
program. After graduating from Brigham Young University, she worked for
the Central Intelligence Agency for several years, eventually resigning
in order to raise her family. She credits the CIA with giving her a
wealth of ideas for suspense novels as well as the skills needed to
survive her children's teenage years. She has gone on to write a number
of bestselling suspense novels that have consistently been nominated as
Whitney Award finalists. She considers shoes an optional accessory which
became evident when she won her first three Whitney Awards in 2013
(Code Word), 2014 (Deep Cover), and 2016 (Failsafe.) Safe House won
Whitney Awards for both the mystery/suspense category as well as 2017
Adult Novel of the Year. She added two additional awards in 2019
(Mistaken Reality - best mystery/suspense and Sanctuary - Adult Novel of
the Year.) She currently lives in Virginia with her family where she
enjoys sports, travel, writing, and coaching high school swimming.
