American writer Nora Tierney is house hunting in Oxford to solidify her little family that includes her almost-year old son, Sean, and her partner, Det. Insp. Declan Barnes. But why does she feel like she's being followed?
This book will be available soon. Make sure you read the first three books in the series first!

Q & A:
1. If you had 3 wishes, what would they be? A healthy family; time and money
to travel more; room for another puppy!
2. Where do you write? In the library end of our living room, with
floor-to-ceiling shelves around three sides and a rolling library ladder to
reach the top. I write at a vintage partner's desk facing my husband's side.
3. How long does it normally take you to write a novel? Research a few
months, then about 3-4 for the first draft, then workshopped with my writing
group and completely rewritten. Then to beta readers and revised; to publisher
and revised; to copyeditor and revised. Takes about two years to get one book
into print.
4. What are your inspirations? I'm living my blessed life now. I want to be
able to keep writing these two series and do them well and have readers who
look for my books.
5. How did you come to write this particular book or series? The Golden
Hour is the fourth Nora Tierney English Mystery and it's the natural outgrowth
of what came before, in terms of Nora's personal story. This one is darker than
the others, not a Whodunit, but a Cantheycatchhim? with Sean's little boy in
jeopardy.
6. What was the hardest part of writing your book, and how did you overcome
it? Getting the research right and making the idea of a bioterrorist an
interesting character. Viktor Garanin is a psychopath, but he loves his garden.
7. What is your writing drive? The power that keeps you going when your
writing gets difficult? It's what I've always wanted to do, after a successful
30 yr nursing career, so it's a blessing each and every day to be able to say
I'm a writer. I love every aspect of it.
8. How did you come up with the title? The Golden Hour is that hour I love,
just before sunset, to artists and photographers; in medicine, it's the hour
right after a heart attack or stroke when you have the best chance of making a
full recovery if you receive medical attention. But for a detective, the golden
hour is that first hour after a crime has been committed when witnesses and
evidence are the freshest and most useful.
9. Name one entity that you feel supported you outside of family member? My
novel writing group of four women authors and myself have been working together
for 13 years and I look to them for support, encouragement, useful critiques,
and brainstorming.
