My Review
I’ve loved every book in this series. The Rules of Matrimony is quickly becoming my favorite out of all four. The story’s situation makes it more interesting and adds a lot of humor.
Lord Ian Reynolds, who swore he’d never marry, and Miss Amie Tyler, penniless and her only suitor is a distasteful cousin, find each other unexpectedly. The charade they undergo is to marry and show they are in love, but will the deception fool others? More importantly, will concealing the truth bring them together as a true married couple? If one tremendous kiss at the wedding is any indication, then I knew they had a chance.
I really liked the characters. The ups and downs of Ian and Amie’s feelings felt honest. They both had hopes and dreams, but sometimes their actions got in the way. Falling in love slowly showed more of who they really were. I believe that a slow romance adds depth to both the story and the characters.
This book isn’t just about love. It’s about two people who let their guard down, support each other, and become better people. Anneka Walker wrote a timeless love story that will stay in readers' minds long after the last page. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
