My Review
Everyone enjoys a good murder mystery, and "Murderous Means" offers exactly that. The story follows Corrie Locke, who is hired to investigate the murder of Jojo Means by investigating her dysfunctional family. Alongside her team including boyfriend Michael, teammate Verra, and her humorous mother, Corrie delves into a web of secrets that are challenging to unravel.
The plot twists keep readers engrossed as they meet quirky small-town characters and examine various family members as potential suspects. At one point all of them are considered potential murderers. You will enjoy this aspect of the novel as you laugh at the absurd accusations that at times are put out there.
Corrie emerges as a bold, intelligent investigator with a very unique approach to solving mysteries. Her tenacity, coupled with her team's investigative style, keeps the story fascinating, humorous, and difficult to set aside. The revelation of the murderer's identity and motive at the end is truly surprising, adding to the book's appeal.
Author Lida Sideris impresses with her storytelling, ensuring there is never a dull moment in "Murderous Means." This novel is recommended for those seeking an engaging mystery that hooks you from start to finish.
