Book Description:
After a long and difficult divorce, Jacey thinks the worst
is over. Little does she know she'll soon be forced to go undercover to
protect her family, and in the process, she'll risk losing her
identity, her future, and her heart. With a lightning pace, a good dose
of humor, and a plot that's full of suspense, this thrilling novel is an
edge-of-your-seat read.
My Review:
This book is a thriller. Main character,Jacey Grayson, runs away with her son Blaze, to protect them both from her abusive ex-husband and his shady past. She pretends to be someone else, hence the title, "The Alias". She thinks that she has found a safe place on a small ranch in Utah, until her ex-husband shows up and takes her son away. Now the action starts as she is faced with things so hard, but grows through the turmoil. I loved the way that Mandi wrote her characters. I especially loved the character of Jacey, who showed the true love of a mother and the sacrifices she was willing to make for her child.
This book is a clean read that anyone can enjoy reading. The Alias will keep you guessing until the very end. Just when I thought I had figured out things...well you get the picture.
I'm excited because I will be reading and reviewing Mandi's next book, Tide Ever Rising, at the end of this month. I have a feeling that it will be as good as her first book.
