Snippet:

Nothing in this world is more important than family relations. Family includes parents, siblings, spouse, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. When it comes to the race of life, this group of individuals will define your success in everything you do. Failure in any of these relationships cannot be compensated for by your success in business, sports, or other pursuits.
I know children do not always agree with their parents. as individuals, we each have the ability and responsibility to make our own choices and decisions, which are never the same for any two of us. however, just because i do not cut the lawn the same way, decorate my house the same, like the same make of car or like or dislike the Dallas Cowboys, there is no reason i cannot honor and respect my parents. Sometimes we let little things become huge barriers in our relationship with our parents. I had a client who had not communicated with his parents for over twenty years because of an argument over a shotgun. How lame is that? ...

But some people don't even visit their parents, or say thank you, or call them on the phone. As I have said before, what goes around comes around, and some day you will mature and be one of the older generation. I hope you receive the same type of honor from your children that you have given to your parents.
