My Review:
For many years, people have wondered why Mormons/LDS people live such long and healthy lives. Dr. Scott A. Johnson has written a book that outlines very clearly about The Word of Wisdom. Readers will learn how to prevent diseases by eating, natural and whole foods. Discussed in the book are the words by, The Prophet Joseph Smith Jr. and his revelation on how people should take care of their bodies. Even though this was given to the LDS people, all people of all races and religion can benefit from this valuable information. There is also wonderful information about natural healing. I agree about using herbs as part of staying healthy.

Readers will find these topics discussed:
-The Word of Wisdom
-Healthy and Unhealthy Beverages
-The Harmful Effects of Tobacco
-Wholesome Herbs Ordained for Man

-Fruits and Vegetables
-Consume Animal Products Sparingly

-Grains: The Staff of Life
-Benefits and Blessings
Appendix A: Fruit and Vegetable Nutrient Content
Appendix B: Vitamins, Minerals, and Other Nutrients

From reading this book, you can make a plan for you and your family to eat more healthy. Looking at your own health issues will also play into determining what is right for you. I believe as long as you try to eat a balanced diet, and staying away from too many processed foods, you will be on the right track.
