Summer Lovin Giveaway Hop and Review of Edenbrooke by Julianne Donaldson

Welcome to the Summer Lovin Giveaway Hop!
This hop is sponsered by I Am A Reader, Not A Writer
and co-hosted by Tifferz Book Review

I will be giving away some of the books that I have been lovin reading this summer and summer's in the past. I will have 2 separate giveaways: one for those of you in the USA and the other for International Readers.

For the USA giveaway I will be giving away either:
Edenbrooke by Julianne Donaldson
Set in nineteenth-century England, Edenbrooke is the story of Marianne Daventry, who is sent to Bath by her father after the untimely death of her mother. When an invitation arrives from her twin sister, Cecily, to join her at a wealth country estate for the summer, it seems like a dream come true. But helping her sister snag the handsome heir of Edenbrooke proves to be more than Marianne bargained for, and before long, Marianne s relaxing summer in the country turns into an adventure full of romance and intrigue.

About the Author:

Julianne Donaldson grew up as the daughter of a U.S. Air Force fighter pilot. She learned how to ski in the Italian Alps, visited East Berlin before the wall came down, and spent three years living next to a 500-year-old castle. After earning a degree in English, she turned her attention to writing about distant times and places. She lives in Utah with her husband and four children. You can find her online at www.juliannedonaldson.com.

My Review:
I LOVED this book! It has one of my favorite romances I have read in a long time! The characters, Marianne and Philip's relationship, reminds me a lot of Mr.Darcy's and Elizabeth's from Pride and Prejudice; except the male protagonist is a lot nicer. His sense of humor drew me to him from the very beginning. I read this book in less than 12 hours. This is fast when you take into account I was also doing laundry, cleaning house, blogging and taking care of my kids. I love a romance with sexual tension (without the sex), intrigue, strong and well written characters, and a beautiful setting as Edenbrooke. This book is Historical Fiction at it's best! I can promise you, once you read this book, you will be recommending it to all of your friends. I am giving it 5 stars on goodreads.
 OR
Dangerous Favor by Joyce DiPastena (Read my review here)

Her father has been accused of stealing from the king, an allegation that has reduced her family to poverty. She has one chance to find and marry a man who can help her prove her father's innocence. Lord Therri, heir to a rich barony, has the wealth and connections Mathilde needs to delve into the mysteries of her father's past. Furthermore, Therri embodies all her romantic dreams.

Etienne, the younger son of a disgraced family, has neither wealth nor connections, but is smitten with Mathilde at a glance. She finds the knight intriguing, but believes he is only out to seduce her. While she seeks for a way to win Therri's attention, Etienne tricks her into granting him her favor, an embroidered white ribbon, for a tournament, setting in motion a dangerous chain reaction of events. Can Etienne save Mathilde from a nightmare from her past and prove himself the true hero of her dreams?
